Associate Manager - Talent Acquisition
JOB PURPOSE:
Provides functional expertise, leads, and manages the talent acquisition operations for assigned business divisions within EGA, ensuring the successful implementation of strategies to effectively attract and select the talent required to achieve the business objectives and to meet the company’s targets with the best customer service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Contribution:
Ensures effective cascading of the functional strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
Provides subject matter expertise and supports the implementation of departmental strategy and ensures strategy is aligned to EGA corporate and operational goals.
Supports the departmental objectives by ensuring smooth and timely recruitment as per the agreed KPIs.
People Management:
Manages the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff to maximise sectional performance.
Leads the talent development initiatives for the assigned department, collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
Acts as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned department to foster a value driven culture within the organization.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
Manages the preparation and recommends the department budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
Manages and ensures effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Management of the TA Process:
Develops recruitment plans based on the agreed manpower plan while identifying talent needs with line managers, and efficiently coordinates the recruitment process to attract and select the best talent in a cost-effective way.
Develops and drives the employer branding strategy through the effective representation of EGA and maintaining strong relationships with recruitment channels, universities, and the marketplace at large to position the organization as an employer of choice.
Outlines the best fitting resourcing strategies and approaches, in coordination with the management, to identify and select high calibre talent into required roles promptly with a focus on internal hiring.
Ensures the availability of a pool of candidates for any planned or unplanned needs.
Initiates, develops, and organizes recruitment campaigns at national or international level to supply the need of the organization for both national and expatriate candidates.
Utilizes the available sourcing platforms, headhunting and relevant direct sourcing methods to achieve cost saving and target the right candidate for the role.
Leads the coordination with Corporate Affairs for any media coverage and social media sourcing methods.
Leads effective collaboration with team members to ensure that all job vacancies are being posted on EGA’s Careers webpage and utilize the online database.
Leads the effective identification of recruitment requirements, timelines, and expectations, to effectively handle hiring requests and manage the overall recruitment lifecycle.
Implements all aspects of the recruitment process, including sourcing, candidate report writing, screening, short listing, interview facilitation, selection, offer packages and approvals, so that all vacant positions for technical and corporate roles for the assigned business divisions within EGA are successfully and in time filled, within the approved budget.
Manages the search and selection of optimum recruitment channels (e.g., recruitment firms, head-hunters, specialized websites, global and regional recruitment projects) ; reviews, analyses and negotiates business proposals from providers in collaboration with the relevant functions.
Drives the review and selection of tools (e.g., psychometric tests, business cases, interview guidelines, etc.) to be used during the selection phase, to ensure that the right candidates are selected.
Negotiates and finalizes the job offers with approved candidates, within the approved salary ranges, or escalate in case a policy exception is required, as per EGA’s policies.
Ensures adherence to performance metrics regarding the recruitment process to increase the level of quality, standardization, and efficiency of the recruitment lifecycle.
Plans and manages the execution of the work-placement and internship programs for EGA by providing a structured program to interns to attract the best talent.
Manages the conducting of research on competitors, market status, potential sourcing strategies, new potential markets to source candidates and advises management on recruitment strategies.
Engages with managers to get a clear view on their strategic objectives and hiring needs.
Identifies potential risks, issues, and proposed solutions and strategies.
Attracts and identifies National talent to help achieve the organisation’s Emiratisation targets.
Leads the effective collaboration with the Scholarship team to incorporate the sponsored students in the annual recruitment plan.
Achieves the target of hiring UAE Nationals for different National Trainee courses, Graduate Trainee programs and any potential positions for Emiratization.
Stakeholder Management:
Develops and maintains effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external stakeholders with highest standards of business ethics.
Continuous Improvement:
Leads the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Environment, Health & Safety:
Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.
Reporting
Ensures that all unit reports are prepared timely and accurately and meets EGA requirements, policies, and quality standards.
AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING:
Works within the set guidelines, policies and procedures and independently make decisions.
Updates direct manager frequently on matters involving administrative problems or seeks guidance on major issues, reviews plan of action or discusses recommendations for improvement of existing processes, policies, procedures, and budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in HR Management, Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
8 years relevant experience in roles with evidence of progressively increasing supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
