Day-to-Day Operations

  • Carries out day-to-day operations of the Reliability Engineering function to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with technical specifications, engineering standards, and other established policies, processes and procedures.

Loss Elimination

  • Supports in the development and implementation of plans in the assigned area (Clarification/ Calcination), in coordination with the Production team, in order to eliminate or reduce production losses and high maintenance cost.

Risk Management

  • Carries out simple assets analyses, in collaboration with Production team, on asset utilisation, equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life and other related parameters that define operating conditions, reliability and cost of assets within the assigned area (Clarification/ Calcination) in order to identify and reduce the risks related to environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality and production.
  • Provides initial recommendations within assigned operations area on areas for improving asset reliability and minimising maintenance costs.

Asset Management

  • Designs, develops, monitors and refines the Asset Maintenance Plan in the assigned operations area (Clarification/ Calcination), which includes value-added preventive maintenance tasks and steers the use of effective utilisation of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
  • Participates in the development of simple design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans utilising equipment, tools and pertinent software, and provides inputs to the Reliability Engineering team in order to build capability and knowledge in the assigned area.
  • Provides inputs to the development of criteria for evaluation of equipment, technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers, as well as the development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria in order to ensure that the maintenance activities within the assigned area (Clarification/ Calcination) are carried out optimally without any disruptions.
  • Provides support in improving preventive and condition monitoring maintenance plan through carrying out simple inspection, testing and collection of technical data from system, mechanical sets and components in order to ensure the asset is maintained reliably and costs are controlled.

Issue Resolution

  • Provides first-line support to the operating areas on simple (Clarification/ Calcination) maintenance, process and operational issues, and responds to related queries in order to ensure timely, smooth and quick problem resolution.
  • Executes simple audits, checks, and technical assessments on equipment and mechanical components in the assigned area in order to identify any issues/ problems in the equipment, and take necessary actions to resolve them timely.
