Emirates Global Aluminium is the world’s biggest ‘premium aluminium’ producer and the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside the oil and gas industry. EGA is an integrated aluminium producer, with operations on four continents from bauxite mining to the production of cast primary aluminium and recycling. EGA employs over 7,000 of these people including more than 1,200 UAE Nationals. EGA operates aluminium smelters in Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah in the United Arab Emirates, an alumina refinery in Al Taweelah, a bauxite mine and associated export facilities in the Republic of Guinea, a speciality foundry in high strength recycled aluminium in Germany, and a recycling plant in the United States.
JOB PURPOSE:
Lead M&S development and coordination of-, and between, overseas entities under CMO, and ensure consistent change management and governance of innovation projects across M&S globally.
Lead and facilitate capability building of personnel under direct line management
In-line with seniority of the role, support employee development and assert thought-leadership in area of expertise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
CMO-led overseas offices and entities
Lead, Co-lead, coordinate and monitor M&S developments, incl. commercial excellence activities, technology deployments and best practise sharing across all EGA entities.
Develop, lead and monitor M&S-related PMI requirements and activities in-line with entity maturity and resources.
Act as first contact for M&S and management-related/implicated queries from overseas offices and entities.
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting and exercise spend monitoring and control.
Support preparations and materials for BoD meetings, including coaching presenters as needed.
Support coordination between overseas offices and entities incl. management & functional communities.
Ensure M&S Management is kept updated on overseas offices & entities activities and performance.
Global M&S Change Management
Lead and coordinate change management efforts across M&S areas ensuring consistency, inter-functional coordination and good employee experiences.
Ensure current materials covering change management requirements, plans and activities for M&S across innovation and development activities.
Monitor and report effectiveness, experience and learnings from change management efforts.
Maintain overview and oversight of planned and on-going innovation/change projects under M&S, coordinate with business leaders on priorities, monitor and report progress.
Project mgmt
Act as project manager in select, relevant development projects under CMO-area, including process management, content management, resource management, reporting and coordination.
Coach team and colleagues in successful project management concepts.
Personnel
Manage and lead direct report(s), including ensuring capability building, accelerated growth and employee experience above EGA standards.
KPIs and development of EGA
Deliver against M&S’ Performance Management KPIs as defined by CMO and direct manager and signed into annual performance agreement.
Co-lead continued development of Global M&S Strategies, Commercial Innovation & Trading function under M&S.
Build next generation of talent through coaching and structured capability building.
AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING:
Authority according to defined project management roles and key accountabilities, in-line with agreement with direct manager.
Lead the “Change Management & Overseas Offices Development” function under “Global M&S Strategies, Commercial Innovation & Trading” including strategies, developments and employees.
Work is subject to periodic review against targets with the focus being on the delivery of medium-term results.
Reports on a regular basis to line manager on operational activities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related specialisation
Minimum Experience:
10+ years experience in Finance or M&S within Metals industries including 5+ years as part of management leading a team and covering controlling or similar topic. Alternatively, 5+ years in recognized management consulting including 2+ years leading projects and teams. Experience with exposure to top management and top management communication required. Proven track record of driving change management.
