Emirates Global Aluminium is the world’s biggest ‘premium aluminium’ producer and the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside the oil and gas industry. EGA is an integrated aluminium producer, with operations on four continents from bauxite mining to the production of cast primary aluminium and recycling. EGA operates aluminium smelters in Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah in the United Arab Emirates, an alumina refinery in Al Taweelah, a bauxite mine and associated export facilities in the Republic of Guinea, a speciality foundry in high strength recycled aluminium in Germany, and a recycling plant in the United States.
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage the creation and timely updating of customer master, materials / configuration master and pricing master in the SAP system and to support the administration of sales contracts in order to fulfil the company’s obligation to its customers as per the established terms and conditions and in line with EGA policies and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales Operations
- Liaises with internal departments as and when necessary to ensure customer requirements are met in what related to Sales Operations
- Monitors the production schedule and shipments and advises the Controller if in case of major concerns with regards to customer requirements in order to ensure the resolution of issues and the provision of highest standards of customer service.
Sales Contracts Management
- Oversees the updating of Customer Master Data in SAP to ensure price calculations meet contractual agreements and ensures the release of the order for invoicing when appropriate
- Communicates with Customers/Regional Representatives/Offices both verbally and in writing in order to provide status updates on the relevant contract when necessary and follow-up on the required actions
- Provides guidance and advice to support the Inside Sales team in the preparation of sales contracts and ensures proper follow-up until final authorisation
Customer Service
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the respective sales region to ensure that prompt, accurate and timely services are provided to the customer
People Management
- Manages the training of new staff in the concerned department to ensure the individuals are aware of all operational requirements as well as of applicable policies, procedures and quality standards
Authority/ Decision making:
- Thinking within clearly defined policies, principles and specific objectives, under readily available direction.
- Work is subject to periodic review against targets with the focus being on the delivery of medium-term results.
- Reports on a regular basis to line manager on operational activities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related specialisation
Minimum Experience:
3 - 5 years relevant experience in managing contracts and customer orders on a daily basis as well as managing small group of people.
