2. JOB PURPOSE:
Plans, develops, coordinates, monitors, and delivers specific training modules in Cell Relining and Preheat according to area of expertise and where applicable, delivery of training and training schedules to ensure proper delivery of training as per the plan and Plant requirements.
TNA
- Coordinates with area to ensure training needs analyses are prepared and fulfilled; attends meetings to obtain information useful to training staff and to inform management on training programs implementation and objectives.
Planning & Delivery
- Conducts training programmes to employees and review training procedures and methods of training to ensure current requirements and future needs can be met effectively and within agreed budgets.
- Updates training methods and materials in line with the latest process, equipment and technological changes, including writing of training specifications, task analysis, assessments and questionnaires;
- Plans, organizes, and directs orientation and training for employees or customers of industrial or commercial establishments as when required;
- Assists in the development of programme content and assessments criteria to meet specific departmental requirements and external bodies that will ensure a consistent approach to content scale, numbering format in accordance with ISO & IATF requirements.
- Works closely with Plant Superintendents and Managers to ensure appropriate training is delivered to meet specific competence level promotion criteria;
- Follows up schedules to ensure proper delivery of trainings as per plant operational requirements.
Developing Training Staff
- Ensures a unified understanding of training and developments KPI’s and training model; trains and develops training officers internally and/or externally to comply with technological advances and ISO requirements;
According to Assigned Training Area
- Provides input to program development of OEM courses based on EGA requirements; coordinates new Plant Expansion OEM training to area and concerned employees during pre-commissioning & commissioning of the equipment;
- Evaluates training packages, including outlines, technical documents & hand-outs for operations employees assigned on training courses & undergoing on-the-job-training in specific skills & expertise;
- Identifies & coordinates Skills Upgrade modules for Plant employees within the field of expertise; liaises regularly with area management to ensure budgeted manning levels are maintained & replacement employees are trained to the required level of competence;
- Monitors & develops NT Utility Operator & NG modules (Theory & Practical) where existing modules are not available or revision is required; conducts academic lessons & assessments for National Trainees & candidates identified for internal promotions or up-skilling.
Emiratization
- Provides full support to all associated areas to achieve Emiratization objectives
- Contributes to the training of National employees at all levels in order to achieve the level set by company policy & current departmental requirements.
EHS/Quality
- Conducts monthly EHSSQ walk abouts/meetings as per EGA EHSSQ/ISO; develops priority EHSSQ awareness/practices during trainings particularly with Nationals/new employees in order ensure compliance with company EHSSQ policy/procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong technical training skills with at least 10 years of experience in Cell Relining and Preheat processes.
- Proficient in operating and providing training on all cell relining and preheat mobile equipment, overhead cranes, and other departmental equipment.
- Capable of guiding teams through OEM training processes during project phases.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft tools.
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills, along with strong coaching and counselling abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective teamwork and leadership abilities.
- Competent in managing people and providing coaching and counselling.
- Ability to network, build relationships, influence, and inspire trust.
