1. JOB PURPOSE
To perform a wide range of duties related to the electrical installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and fixtures. The role ensures efficient operation with minimal downtime while complying with EHS guidelines, focusing on continuous improvement.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Equipment Maintenance & Breakdown Handling:
-
Attends to electrical breakdowns of LV-MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting, transformers, UPS, VFD, breakers, soft starters, etc.

Carries out planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision.

Fault Identification & Repair:
-
Identifies and reports abnormalities.
-
Repairs or replaces faulty components, reassembles, and tests equipment.
-
Ensures the work area is clean after completing tasks.
-

Technical Assessment & Troubleshooting:
-
Assesses job requirements and selects appropriate tools and equipment.
-
Diagnoses electrical breakdowns and troubleshoots failures with minimal or no direction.

System Utilization & Documentation:
-
Uses SAP to order spare parts and maintain maintenance records.
-

Safety & Compliance:
-
Ensures maintenance work aligns with safety procedures and operational requirements.
-

Performance Monitoring & Improvements:
-
Monitors recurring breakdowns and recommends modifications for resolution.
-
Contributes to 5S, Business Excellence, and Safety Initiatives for continuous improvement.

Training & Support:
-
Shares equipment knowledge with newly joined electricians, craft trainees, and contractors.

Assists other departments in repairs and troubleshooting.

Other Responsibilities:

Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/superior.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Diploma in a relevant field.
-
Completion of PEC Craft Training.
Minimum Experience:
-
3 years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after Diploma.
-
No experience required after completion of PEC Training.
Skills:
-
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
-
Familiarity with maintenance tools and good IT knowledge.
-
Experience in installation and troubleshooting.
-
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and instructions.
